Mitsubishi Unveils New Eco-Friendly “Green Giants” in Electric Forklift Range

Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks (MFT) has announced the launch of its latest electric counterbalance forklift series, aiming to redefine efficiency and sustainability in material handling. Dubbed the “green giants” for their environmental friendliness. These new heavy-duty models offer a powerful and eco-conscious solution for warehouses and distribution centres.

The FB60-120N(H) series boasts a wide range of capacities. From a nimble 1.4 tons to a powerful 12 tons, catering to diverse lifting needs. A key feature is their exceptional maneuverability in tight spaces. This is achieved through a combination of factors, including single-tire models for an even narrower profile and the option of four-wheel steering (4WS) on H-models.

Efficiency is prioritised with a load-sensing hydraulic system that ensures smooth and responsive handling regardless of the weight being lifted. Additionally, a high-lift traction control system provides superior stability when operating at heights exceeding 2.5 metres.

Operator comfort is not forgotten. The new series features a low noise level of just 65 dBA, making it one of the quietest in its class. Operators will also appreciate the comfortable rubber-mounted cabin that minimizes vibration and fatigue during long shifts.

Another benefit is the easy battery-swapping system. The two 48V batteries are readily accessible without requiring doors, allowing for quick and effortless battery changes. Each battery can be conveniently moved using a counterbalance forklift or even a pallet truck.

Mitsubishi’s new electric counterbalance forklifts offer a compelling combination of power, maneuverability, and environmental responsibility. With their focus on operator comfort and ease of maintenance. These “green giants” are poised to become a popular choice for businesses seeking to optimize their material handling operations while minimising their environmental impact.
